Since the release of Modern Warfare 2 we have all had our fun calling in predator missile's and camping out for that must have nuke, but now it is Treyarch's turn and that means a step back in time.
But don't worry my red dot loving pals, this time Treyarch has realised there is more between their legs than just a furr ball and decided not to go with the usual World War 2 theme.
This time they have decided to bring their gaming a little closer to the present and have based CoD 7 on the Vietnam War, which for you youngster's started in 1959.
Since Treyarch have always loved a good story, CoD 7 is said to follow a few individuals from a Vietnam Platoon, im sure here we can expect a very interesting story if you like a bit of history but we can probably expect a resemblance to some successful movie title's such as Saving Private Ryan and Full Metal Jacket.
Although this is not for certain we do know that Treyarch has posted a job for a Delveloper who is able to “Research subject matter for history and look of the level”, meaning its not going to be a modern game and im sure they already know about WW2!
Either way we'll keep ya posting!
Welcome!
Here is an unofficial blog for Call of Duty 7!

The Creators report.
Ok my button bashing friends as promised here is my initial report on who is going to be creating COD 7, starting with who let the rumor slip...
Basically a top brass animator for Treyarch, (David Kim) though it would be a great idea to post and i quote "I am currently on my second title as a senior animator in the gaming industry with Activision / Treyarch on Call of Duty 7."
So to keep on top of things gaming legend Activision later confirmed that developer Treyarch was working on the next Call of Duty installment, thus COD 7!!
When is the big question at the moment and as rumored Autumn 2010, but i wouldn't bet my life's blood on that date!
ok so just to fill you in fully;
Treyarch are a game developer that was founded in 1996 and acquired by Activision in 2001 also a gaming developer.
Treyarch are the people who started the whole Call of Duty thing and Activision are the people who turned it into a piece of gaming artwork!
Additionally a new Call of Duty title has been stated in Activions Q3 statement.
Not to mention COD 6 (MW2) raking in over $1Billion in revenues, could any business turn down a sequel to that?!
So thats the boring bits of it all, check back in a few days for our first insight into the genre of Call of Duty 7!

Ok i know half of you are burning with excitment whilst the other half are kicking and screaming because they are no-where near done with Call of Duty 6, Modern Warfare 2 (MW2) yet.
Well either way lets not jump the gun as so to speak, we neither know wether COD 7 will live up to its younger brother World at War and blow MW2 out of the sky or simply bore us to the respawn points with history lessons!
Well thats where I come in, stick around and i can assure you i will keep you in the know!
First checkpoint is the creators, full review coming on Sunday.
Keep them thumbs busy guys and we'll be in touch!
